Suddenly having free time again felt so strange, like I didn't know what to do with myself at first!
But listen, when you've got some discretionary time on your hands, it's important not to waste it - especially this year. So, I've got some questions for you to consider:
First of all, how are you going to celebrate the end of tax season? Maybe a nice dinner with your significant other or a night out with friends? Whatever it is, make sure it's something you'll enjoy and something that will help you unwind after all the stress.
Next, don't forget to thank your team for their massive efforts. Maybe you could treat them to a team lunch or happy hour, or even just write them a heartfelt note expressing your gratitude.
And what about yourself? You've worked hard, so it's important to reward yourself for all that effort. Maybe it's a special gadget you've had your eye on, or maybe it's a weekend getaway to your favorite spot. Whatever it is, make sure it's something that will bring you joy.
Last but not least, don't forget to thank your family for supporting you through it all. They've probably had to put up with a lot during tax season, so make sure you show them how much you appreciate their love and patience.
Write down your ideas and then make sure you actually schedule and book them in your calendar so they do happen. Trust me, you'll thank yourself later for taking the time to recharge and appreciate all the hard work you and your team have put in.
